Shakira and Gerard Piqué have had their first falling out of love in 2023. The reason? The spontaneous and unexpected ‘debut’ of their son Milan, 9, as a commentator on Twitch during the broadcast of the ‘Kings League’, a virtual football league presided over by the ex-footballer. An appearance in which the little one showed himself comfortable and at ease in front of the cameras and in which he showed off his complicity with his father, but which would not have sat well with the singer.
And this is what her entourage has made known, assuring that «in no case» did Shakira «give her prior consent nor was she consulted regarding the participation of her eldest son in the retransmission of an event of Gerard Piqué’s company in a discussion of adult content».
A new open front after which the artist and the ex-footballer have seen each other again, although their reunion has been quite tense and they have not spoken to each other at any time. The ex-couple have coincided in the first baseball game of the year of Milan, who has disputed this Sunday with his team an Indoor Tournament in a school of Gavá, Barcelona.
While Piqué followed the game at one end of the sports centre with his parents, Joan Piqué and Montserrat Bernabeu, Shakira – with her hair down and wearing a tropical print sweatshirt – followed the game at the other end, accompanied by her mother, Nidia Ripoll, and her brother Tonino.
However, there was one moment when they were just a few metres apart, as they both posed for the group photo with which the children immortalised their victory in the tournament and which the club has shared on its social networks. Gerard, smiling in the centre of the picture, and the singer, on the right, with her mother, brother and children, with whom she was once again particularly affectionate.
While the ex-footballer left the place without being caught by the cameras, his parents were seen smiling minutes before Shakira left the centre with her family. Very discreetly, however, she has avoided commenting on her decision to stay in Barcelona for the moment, while waiting for the delicate health of her father, William Mebarak, to allow her to move to Miami. A move that has no date and which, according to some sources, could be extended until March or even June so that her children Milan and Sasha can finish the school year in Spain.
