The first official trip to the country since Felipe became king
Despite the fact that her first official trip to a Sub-Saharan African country since Don Felipe ascended to the throne in 2014 will not officially begin until this Tuesday, their Majesties have been received with a simple welcoming ceremony upon their arrival at Luanda airport, in which the highlight was the delicate and elegant look that Letizia has chosen to step on Angolan soil for the first time.
It is the queen’s first time in the country
If in the morning she left Madrid with a winter and comfortable outfit for the long trip, composed of a fuchsia pink turtleneck sweater, black straight pants and wide-heeled ankle boots and oversize coat in the same color, it was during the plane ride when the queen changed her clothes to adapt her style to the high temperatures of the African country. Her choice was a total look in pastel pink with which she left the Angolans speechless as soon as she got off the plane.
A monochromatic look
A Hugo Boss premiere ensemble consisting of a silk top with a V-neckline and flared sleeves, which the queen has the same in navy blue, and matching culotte pants that are particularly flattering.
Defy heights with high heels
As accessories, in the same pale pink, Magrit high heels and a Carolina Herrera leather bag that also comes in brown and fuchsia. A styling as sweet as delicate with which Queen Letizia has shown that monochrome is more fashionable than ever.
The visit officially begins on Tuesday
It will be this Tuesday morning when the King and Queen officially begin their state trip to Angola with a visit to the Agostinho Neto Memorial, a tribute to former President António Agostinho Neto, whose remains rest inside this monument. Later, the King will meet at the Presidential Palace with President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, while the Queen will do the same with the First Lady, Ana Afonso Dias.
Intense working days are ahead of them
After a private lunch, the monarchs will attend the presentation of the International University of Cuanz at the Economic Bank; later they will inaugurate an exhibition of Miró and will put the finishing touch to a frenetic first day with a meeting with the Spanish community living in Angola.
