The first of their stops, at around 10:30 a.m., was a visit to the Agostinho Neto Memorial, where the mortal remains of the nation’s first president, António Agostinho Neto, rest and where their Majesties, impressed by the majesty of the monument, laid a wreath and observed a minute’s silence.

Afterwards, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia went to the Presidential Palace to meet with the President of Angola, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço and the First Lady, Ana Alfonso Dias, with whom they had a brief meeting after being received with honors in a ceremony.
