The Princess of Wales smiling greetings
The Prince and Princess of Wales, also called the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, have made their first joint official visit to the county of Cornwall since taking up their new roles.
A very busy day
William and Kate visited the port town of Falmouth on Thursday to learn about the area’s heritage at the National Maritime Museum of Cornwall before visiting a community center.
They learned firsthand about the work of various centers and associations
During their visit to the museum workshop, they helped those working on the restoration of the Kiwi, a 14-foot sailboat given to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip by the Royal New Zealand Navy as a wedding gift.
Involved with young people
The Prince and Princess of Wales also heard from a group of young people participating in the «Young and Talented Cornwall» program, which provides financial support to enable young people across Cornwall to realize their full potential, regardless of their financial means or background.
Elegant yet comfortable
Kate looked effortlessly chic in a chestnut brown Hobbs coat that she first wore to an official engagement in 2012, paired with matching knee-high boots and a red ensemble underneath. William looked dapper in a navy blazer and matching sweater.
