Night opening
The Vatican Museums will extend their opening hours every Friday and Saturday until 10:30 p.m., with the last entrance scheduled for 8:30 p.m., starting this Friday, April 14, through October 28.

As the institution reports on its website, for nighttime openings it is mandatory to book online. «The night opening has already become a much appreciated custom for those who wish to experience a visit immersed in the quiet and evocative atmosphere of the night. In previous editions,» adds the website.
Until 10:30 p.m.
The Vatican Museums have also planned a rich program of music and concerts, organized in collaboration with the Italian National Committee for Music (Cidim) and also aimed at promoting the talent of young students from Italian conservatories.
Music Bands
Thus, tonight the Musical Band of the Vatican Gendarmerie together with the National Band of the Guard of Finances is scheduled to perform from 8:00 p.m. onwards.
Young talents
Among the famous Greek and Roman sculptures of the Gregorian Profane Museum, the young talents of the Conservatories of Santa Cecilia in Rome and Jacopo Tomadini in Udine will perform.
At the normal entrance
All musical performances are included in the regular admission price. «There is nothing more amazing,» explained Barbara Jatta, director of the Vatican Museums, «than to immerse oneself in the beauty of the Vatican collections illuminated by moonlight behind the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica.
